Security screening of passengers at all commercial airports in the United States
is the responsibility of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
For information on the latest security guidelines, questions about baggage
screening and a list of items that cannot be taken through security, please
visit the agency's Web site to review Air
Travel information.
Every travel experience is different and it is important for travelers to understand the time requirements involved in a trip. Travelers should contact their airline to ask about cut-off times for checking bags and to find out how many minutes the airline expects travelers to be at the gate prior to departure.
- Call (303) 342-8477 for current wait times at security screening.
- Call (303) 342-7275 for parking space availability or visit our Parking page.
- Check your flight status.
Only ticketed passengers are allowed through security. Passengers must obtain
a boarding pass from the airline they are flying before they can pass through
security screening. E-ticket confirmations are no longer accepted for access.
Some airlines allow customers to print boarding passes on-line with “Web
check-in.” Please consult the airline you are flying to inquire if the
Web check-in
option is available to you.
The airlines make exceptions to this rule for people with special
needs such as unaccompanied minors, the elderly or the physically challenged.
Contact your airline to find out its policy. Usually, an airline reservations agent can help you
make the arrangements. Additionally, Denver International Airport contracts
with the Traveler’s Assistance Program (TAP). TAP is available to assist our
guests with any special needs, including wheelchairs or oxygen.
Please contact TAP in advance at (303) 342-0400 to make arrangements.
One place to meet an arriving traveler is at the fountain in Jeppesen Terminal.
The
fountain is located in the center of Terminal
Level 5 in front of the exit from
the passenger train. Travelers arrive on the train and come up an escalator into
the Terminal in front of the fountain. If you meet your party there, please stay
behind the rope so that traffic flow is not interrupted. If your party walks
to the Terminal from Concourse A or if you don't want to meet at the fountain,
you can meet in the baggage claim area also on Level
5. Baggage claim carousels are divided between Terminal West and
Terminal East, according
to airline.
Yes. Follow the signs on Peña
Boulevard to Arrivals, Level
4 either Terminal West or Terminal East, according to airline name. Overhead
signs at curbside identify each airline location. REMEMBER: drivers may not park and wait at curbside for an arriving passenger. The passenger
must be at curbside waiting for the driver. Any unattended vehicles will
be towed immediately.
If you are picking up passengers and you arrive early, you can park in the airport's 45-minute
waiting area, which is just beyond the E-470
overpass on inbound Peña Boulevard. For safety, drivers must stay in their cars in the waiting area. When passengers arrive and contact you, arrange to meet them at their airline door on Arrivals, Level 4 and then drive to the terminal. NOTE: No public telephone or restrooms are in the waiting area.
- All baggage and all vehicles are subject to
search at any time.
- No unattended vehicles are allowed at curbside.
- Do not leave bags unattended. Unattended bags will be immediately confiscated and may be destroyed. Report any unattended items to airport personnel immediately.
