Curious about construction of the Hotel and Transit Center Program at Denver International Airport? DIA is pleased to offer the chance to take a first-hand look at the progress through monthly public tours. Public tours of the Hotel and Transit Center site are held on the third Saturday of each month throughout the summer. Guides treat participants to a 45-minute hard hat tour of the new public plaza and hotel building. Because construction of the program is constantly evolving, each tour will be unique.
Since this is an active construction site and as such has inherently dangerous conditions, each tour is limited to a maximum of 15 people and is only open to those ages 18 and older. Guests should wear pants that cover the ankle, shirts with long sleeves and boots that cover the ankle. Please no high heels or open-toed shoes. DIA will provide safety gear to all guests. Guests will be required to sign DIA’s Waiver and Release, and to wear the provided safety gear on-site including a hard hat, vest, safety glasses and gloves. Also please know that the construction site is open to weather, and the Guests must be prepared for physical exertion including walking and climbing flights of stairs. No one will be allowed to participate in the tour if they refuse to sign the Waiver and Release, or refuse to wear the appropriate clothing and safety gear.
To participate in a public tour, select a preferred date below and follow the link to register. Please print your receipt at the end of the registration process and bring it with you to gain access to your scheduled tour. Tours are free and open to the public. Once a tour date is full, you will no longer be able to register for that date.
Tours have currently ended for 2014. Please check back in the Spring of 2015 for possible future tour opportunities.
