Pikes Peak lot construction and partial West Garage closure

Due to Pikes Peak lot construction, travelers should use the Landside parking lot located at 6975 Valley Head Street. This lot will be open for overflow parking starting at 3 a.m. until full, on Wednesday, July 3. The Pikes Peak and Longs Peak shuttle parking lots will close on Wednesday, July 3 at 3 a.m. and re-open by 5 p.m. Regular shuttle service will still be available to/ from all parking lots. | Separately, Rows A-D in the West Garage will be closed July 15 through July 22 on all levels for power washing and re-striping work. Any remaining vehicles in the area will be relocated to the surface lot adjacent to the southwest corner of West Garage.

Job Summary

As a member of the Menzies Aviation Training team, the Fuel Training Supervisor will be a perform as a functional trainer and be responsible for administering field station training programs for aircraft fuel operations through classroom, hands on and verbal instruction. This individual will also assist and provide support to training management on matters of safety, security and education through training and training programs. As well as proactively promote a “safety first” culture by introducing safe working procedures in accordance with Menzies Aviation’s policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively deliver new hire and annual recurrent training for all station personnel
  • Effectively deliver ramp OJT and Driver Training – Secondary OJT and other training based on training qualifications.
  • Project a professional image/conduct at all times
  • Ensure that the delivery of training courses are aligned to support and ensure safe and secure operations in accordance with the highest possible standards of health, safety, security and all government statutory requirements.
  • Support employees and supervisors in undertaking the protective and preventative measures necessary to achieve compliance with health and safety legislation as it applies to them.
  • Support corporate compliance by ensuring that training is aligned to promote and support applicable Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations
  • Report any breaches of statutory requirements or company best practice to management.
  • Participate in safety audits daily and provide corrective action assistance to management.
  • Complete daily shift reports and other reports as requested.
  • Attend and participate in monthly departmental meeting.
  • Required to attend the mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines as per job role.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
  • Excellent communication skills and be analytical.
  • Must have a positive, can-do, upbeat personality.
  • Must enjoy dealing with people daily, presenting in front of large groups.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Must excel in time management skills and require minimal supervision.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Always uphold the image and standards of the company
  • Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs.
  • Must pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs seal.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint programs
  • Must have a high school diploma or a GED.
