Setting up a New Company for Badging

The individual attending the meeting will be designated as the Authorized Signatory for the company and will be DEN’s point of contact with the company for conducting audits of records and DEN Airport ID Badges, and to disseminate Airport Security information to the company and its badgeholders.

Authorized Signatory responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to, all of the following:

• Overseeing the background check process for all employees
• Signing and certifying the accuracy of all applications and forms submitted to Airport Security; and submit badge requests electronically via the Authorized Signatory Self Service Portal
• Ensuring only authorized personnel within the company are provided with an Airport ID badge at DEN
• Ensuring all Airport Identification Badges are canceled and returned upon separation of employees from the company
• Maintaining appropriate access levels for employees
• Requesting and monitoring use of license plate registrations (if applicable) and associated costs
• Responding in a timely manner to Airport Security and TSA audits of records and DEN Airport ID Badges
• Ensuring company applicants are trained on, and remain compliant with, the Rules and Regulations Governing the Denver Municipal Airport System, as well as any and all new security changes and regulatory requirements.

Badging for New Employees

If a company requires unescorted driving privileges in the Secured Area, the Airfield Access Request can be submitted by going here.

Once approved, the company must comply with DEN’s Driver Training Program and Risk Department.

DEN Driver Training Department will conduct a route familiarization and Train the Trainer for your company.

All companies that have Unescorted Driving privileges must carry the appropriate level of insurance.  $10 million for Unescorted Driving on the airfield or $1 million for tunnel driving only.  For all questions concerning insurance the DEN Risk Department can be reached via email at: [email protected].

Every company at DEN is required to submit a badge return plan to Airport Security with details on how the company will hold each employee accountable to ensure the DEN Airport ID badge is returned to Airport Security upon employee separation. This plan should include contingencies for this to occur during any time of day.
